Who is this person?

Pablo Miguel Alberto Vazquez is many things, including performer, poet, wild fan, sometimes scholar/always student, agitator, bard-magus, and whatever else is dragged into his sphere. This includes being a cinephile, DC Comics enthusiast, voracious reader, and avid gamer (tabletop/video). A true lover of Freedom and Passion, Pablo champions love and unity, liberty and danger, creativity and aesthetics.  Born alongside the Panama Canal, they strangely do not like extreme heat and views their perfect weather to be something akin to Fimbulwinter, but they definitely are a child of the Caribbean, with all of its mystic glory, tropical paradises and delicious culinary trappings. Pablo spends far too much time traversing various underground and subcultural communities, ranging from magical lodges and mystic circles, unsanctioned parties and kink events to Underground Rap and radical bookstores to, of course, Science-Fiction and Fantasy fandom.

That’s all well and good, but what do they do?

Well, besides being a self-described Superfan, Pablo works on SF/F conventions ranging from small locals to the WorldCon of their own free volition (strange, yes?), having been everything from a volunteer to a chair. In fact, Pablo is currently the Co-Chairperson of the San Juan in 2017 bid to try and bring the North American Science Fiction Convention to San Juan, Puerto Rico, one of the homes of their upbringing. Besides this, Pablo is also a published writer/poet and is working on a novel currently, much to their delightful frustration. They’ve also put together a few fanzines.
